Question Why aren't weddings on specific days?
In Mishnah Ketubot 1:1, it says: >בְּתוּלָה נִשֵּׂאת לַיּוֹם הָרְבִיעִי, וְאַלְמָנָה לַיּוֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי. > >A virgin is married on the fourth day [of the week] and a widow on the fifth day Why don't we still follow these rules anymore?

Question Sitting under the lights on Tisha B'av
In my shul (and i'm sure in others as well), they turn half of the lights off on Tisha B'av night as a way of mourning. Am I allowed to intentionally sit under the lights that are on to help me see my siddur better?

Question Why didn't Yitzchak help his father?
In Bereishis 22, the story of the עקידת יצחק (binding of Isaac) takes place. When Avraham sets up the altar in Bereishis 22:9, the Pasuk says: > וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ אֶֽל־הַמָּקוֹם֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָֽמַר־ל֣וֹ הָאֱלֹהִים֒ וַיִּ֨בֶן שָׁ֤ם אַבְרָהָם֙ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ וַֽיַּעֲרֹ֖ךְ אֶת־הָעֵצִ֑ים וַֽיַּעֲקֹד֙ אֶת־יִצ...

Answer A: Origin of Three Weeks/Nine Days customs?
I don't know about the earliest source, but the opening words of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch 122:1 are: > .כֵּיוָן שֶׁבְּשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר בְּתַמּוּז הִתְחִילוּ צָרוֹת הַחֻרְבָּן, לָכֵן נוֹהֲגִין קְצָת אֲבֵלוּת מִיּוֹם זֶה עַד אַחַר תִּשְׁעָה בְּאָב > Since the Seventeenth of Tammuz marks the...

In Berachos 4b (11 paragraphs up in pop-up), The gemara gives a potential reson what makes the teffilah "Ashrei" > אִילֵּימָא מִשּׁוּם דְּאָתְיָא בְּאָלֶף בֵּית, נֵימָא ״אַשְׁרֵי תְמִימֵי דָרֶךְ״ דְּאָתְיָא בִּתְמָנְיָא אַפִּין. >If you say that it is because it is arranged alphabetically, th...

Comment Post #276793 Just a thought, but maybe since by the spies, it was that **Hashem specifically wanted to give something**, and they declined it, but by the quail, they are just asking for **something extra** so it isn't as bad.

Question Retying shoes in order
In Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim 2:4 it says: > ואח"כ ינעול של שמאל ויקשרנו ויחזור ויקשור של ימין >Then after that put on the left one and fasten it, and return and fasten the right one First you should tie the left shoe, and after that , tie the right one. Does this also apply when ...

Question pop-up under "tag" bar.
When I am asking a question, and use the sefaria linker, the link goes in the preview (as it should). When I click on it, it pops up, but this happens, with the "tag" bar on top of the information. Its not much of a problem since you can drag the box around, but i think it is something to be noted.
