Why aren't weddings on specific days? In Mishnah Ketubot 1:1, it says: >בְּתוּלָה נִשֵּׂאת לַיּוֹם הָרְבִיעִי, וְאַלְמָנָה לַיּוֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי. > >A virgin is married on the fourth day [of the week] and a widow on the fifth day Why don't we still follow these rules anymore? (more) |

Sitting under the lights on Tisha B'av In my shul (and i'm sure in others as well), they turn half of the lights off on Tisha B'av night as a way of mourning. Am I allowed to intentionally sit under the lights that are on to help me see my siddur better? (more) |

Why didn't Yitzchak help his father? In Bereishis 22, the story of the עקידת יצחק (binding of Isaac) takes place. pop-up under "tag" bar. When I am asking a question, and use the sefaria linker, the link goes in the preview (as it should). When I click on it, it pops up, but this happens, with the "tag" bar on top of the information. Its not much of a problem since you can drag the box around, but i think it is something to be noted.
