Welcome to the Judaism community on Codidact!
Will you help us build our community of learners? Drop into our study hall, ask questions, help others with answers to their questions, share a d'var torah if you're so inclined, invite your friends, and join us in building this community together. Not an ask-the-rabbi service, just people at all levels learning together.
Participate Everywhere Ability Bug
I recently signed up and I was immediately notified
You've earned the Participate Everywhere ability! Learn more.
However, when I clicked on Learn more, I saw the following:
How do I earn this ability?
To earn this ability, you need to have roughly 75% of your posts be positively received, with a minimum of 5 positively-recieved posts (these numbers may vary from site to site).
(Side point, there's a typo - recieved should be received.)
I don't have 5 posts, so I didn't actually earn it.

Sorry for the confusion! We should adjust that wording, beyond correcting the typo. What's going on is that normally you have to earn that ability as described, but we have a "young site" mode (or "new site", though this one isn't so new any more) where we automatically grant that ability to help the community grow more easily (bootstrapping). Most of our communities on codidact.com
have this setting; a couple have grown to the point where it's not needed and we've turned it off.
Update: I just checked the code, and there is already a line in there about "new site" mode. Something seems to have gone wrong in deploying that change. Investigating...
