Why is honey considered kosher?
Why is honey considered kosher?
What I found on the net was an article that states that while bees (as any insects) are non-kosher, honey is not a body product of bees, but only processed (from collected pollen to honey) by enzymes from bees.
Looks good so far.
But in ancient times, how would people know? They sure knew about fermentation, but surely not about enzymes, even less what they do to convert pollen to honey.
