Shalom

I’m a person who is interested in Judaism And human anthropology.

I was reading the Book of Genesis and i stumbled upon some verses that says:

[17:8] And I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are now an alien, all the land of Canaan, for a perpetual holding; and I will be their God.

And

12:7] Then the LORD appeared to Abram, and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built there an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him. [12:8] From there he moved on to the hill country on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the LORD and invoked the name of the LORD.

We know that Abraham had Ismael (father of Arab) and Isaac (Father of Israel descent)

So does that means that Isamael and Isaac has the LORD right for canaan ? Because if that so then Both Arabs and Israel descent Has the right to it ?

Im confused.

"Your offspring" doesn't necessarily mean all of Avraham's offspring. Avraham had six more sons later in life (Genesis 25:2), but nobody considers them heirs to the land either.

Yishmael and the other six were specifically disinherited; Avraham gave everything to Yitzchak (Genesis 25:5). After Avraham died, God blessed Yitzchak (Genesis 25:11) but there is no mention of Yishmael. In Genesis 21:12 God tells Avraham "it is through Yitzchak that offspring shall be continued for you". God's reward to Yishmael was that he would be the father of a great nation (Genesis 21:13). Thus, both God and Avraham designated Yitzchak as Avraham's heir.
