What does this abbreviation stand for?
What does this mean? (written about a rabbi of renown, often the author of a book, or the person buried, listed on a headstone) הבחור כמ“ר I have my guesses but I'd like a real answer, not my gut reaction. I assume that the bachur part is a statement of age, but is it specifically saying that the person in question is a young man? Here is a book that uses it https://books.google.com/books/about/%D7%90%D7%9C%D7%94_%D7%94%D7%93%D7%91%D7%A8%D7%99%D7%9D.html?id=zNREzQEACAAJ
