Welcome to the Judaism community on Codidact!
Will you help us build our community of learners? Drop into our study hall, ask questions, help others with answers to their questions, share a d'var torah if you're so inclined, invite your friends, and join us in building this community together. Not an ask-the-rabbi service, just people at all levels learning together.
What should our short description and Q&A description say?
On the list of Codidact sites, each community has a short description, such as:
Cooking:
Our community for people interested in cooking and questions about it - methods, processes, recipes, tips, and recommendations.Electrical Engineering:
Our community for professionals, hobbyists, and students of electrical and electronic engineering.Writing:
Our community for anybody interested in the craft of professional writing, editing, and publishing.
What should this description say for Judaism?
For reference, the description of Mi Yodeya at SE is: "Q&A for those who base their lives on Jewish law and tradition and anyone interested in learning more".
This is related so I'm asking it in this same meta question: what should the short description for the Q&A category say? This is an opportunity to summarize and reinforce scope. In order to have something that's not the default generic text I've set it to: "General Q&A about Judaism, Jewish texts, and Jewish life. This site does not give personal advice." That's a placeholder; what should it really say? This is about the length we're looking for -- it's going to be displayed at the top of the page on every load, so it shouldn't be long, but it can include links.

Here's a baseline to start you off. This is what I've put in as a placeholder while we finalise wording:
Our community for anyone practicing, studying, or interested in Judaism and Jewish life.
