The Timeline at the Beginning
I'm trying to get a handle on the events surrounding the creation of man. Is there any resource which catalogues the events and opinions?
Adam and Chava are created Erev Shabbos. According to one medrash, Chava conceives and gives birth immediately (possibly to both Kayin AND Hevel). The child(ren) is then born before the eating from the tree (so how would the change in human status which impacted the parents impact the children who did not eat from the tree?)
But other opinions have them born later, after the tree incident.
Then I read that Kayin killed Hevel in the year 41 from creation (the Chabad site reports this). This makes the reason for fighting strange -- had they made no offerings before that? What changed?
And Adam has Shet at age 130, almost 90 years since the killing and that child replaces Hevel?
Any explanations or full listing of the timing according to all opinions would be appreciated.
