Dancing in the vineyards on Yom Kippur
The mishna (4:8) in Taanit reads > אָמַר רַבָּן שִׁמְעוֹן בֶּן גַּמְלִיאֵל, לֹא הָיוּ יָמִים טוֹבִים לְיִשְׂרָאֵל כַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר בְּאָב וּכְיוֹם הַכִּפּוּרִים, שֶׁבָּהֶן בְּנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלַיִם יוֹצְאוֹת בִּכְלֵי לָבָן שְׁאוּלִין, שֶׁלֹּא לְבַיֵּשׁ אֶת מִי שֶׁאֵין לוֹ. which is translated (loosely) on Sefaria as > Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel said: There were no days as joyous for the Jewish people as the fifteenth of Av and as Yom Kippur, as on them the daughters of Jerusalem would go out in white clothes, which each woman borrowed from another. In Hebrew, the word used is שֶׁבָּהֶן , "as on them" -- with the two nouns seemingly being the 15th of Av and the 10th of Tishrei. Does this mean that women went out to "dance in the vineyards" and attract a husband on Yom Kippur as well?
