  • As of a few hours ago, an Omer counter is now live on Judaism Codidact!
  • The counter appears on the left side of the site, and shows the Hebrew date, the day of the Omer, and the day of the week. It looks like this:
  • ![Today is:
  • 20th of Nisan, 5781
  • 5th day of the Omer
  • Thursday night (Friday)](https://judaism.codidact.com/uploads/tKqApYSPLxt3FWofRwquq2bD)
  • The counter changes at 8PM every day, in your local timezone, to keep more-or-less on track with the Hebrew date without making resource-heavy calculations and whatnot.
  • The Omer counter uses the [Hebcal API](https://www.hebcal.com/) to get the Hebrew date and the day of the Omer.
  • The counter was implemented by [luap42](https://judaism.codidact.com/users/8058). Thanks, luap!
