Welcome to the Judaism community on Codidact!

Will you help us build our community of learners? Drop into our study hall, ask questions, help others with answers to their questions, share a d'var torah if you're so inclined, invite your friends, and join us in building this community together. Not an ask-the-rabbi service, just people at all levels learning together.

Maybe the "Jews not Judaism" questions should also have their own category, or a separate tag structure (including date ranges and locations)

And a clear division between biography ("Where did the Baal Shem Tov get smicha?" and Jewish History ("What language did 14th century French Jews speak?")

Can't that be said through the tags that define that specific question?

A word of caution: I'd be wary about adding too many categories. It can have the unintended side-effect of splitting attention and dividing activity, which we've seen elsewhere to some degree. Be sure that a category is the right tool rather than just a tag.
