Resource section

After seeing this post in the Divrei Torah section, which in the opinion of some didn't quite fit the category of DT, and I agree, I thought of suggesting the creation of another section of the site: Resources. In Resources one could post charts and useful links and things like that that are related, of course, to Judaism.

I'd want this better defined before I could opine yea or nay. Could you give some examples of things that are "charts and useful links and things like that" and some things that are not "charts and useful links and things like that"? Preferably, include some edge cases, not just the obvious.

@msh210 well I don't know what would be considered "edge cases" here, but I'll try to give some examples. That chart you put in DT, in my opinion, is something that one wouldn't just show at a shabbat table and be יוצא ידי חובה of saying a DT. It's a useful thing to have around when studying the relevant material, but doesn't stand on its own.

"things like that" may include something that may otherwise be considered a half-finished idea for a DT, like: the geo-political ramifications of the War of the 4 & 5 Kings, but in this section would simply be that idea, standing on its own, without the need of some Torah-based, moral twist or chiddush at the end, like a DT.

Links could be things like online essays about interesting subjects that haven't necessarily been asked about in the Q&A section and aren't relevant for use in the DT section. For example, links to sites of Jewish quarterlies and essays, or links to specific essays or articles that may be useful for furthering the learning of our members here.
