Weekly Topic Challenge #11: Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret Article

Yes, I know I'm breaking protocol here. Please forgive me.

The topic will be Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret. That means any question about the holidays or any of their current or historical practices are fair game. Make sure to tag your post appropriately and link it in the comments here, as per usual. There's a number of potential tags, of which a sampling includes [sukkot], [sukkah], [dalet-minim], and [shemini-atzeret-simchat-torah], though historical (and G-d willing near-future!) practices include many more as well.

This challenge has concluded.

Chag Sameiach!
