Is starting of Judaism on-topic?

When i had seen the community first time. Lot of questions came to my mind. So, i became interested to know about Judaism. I am not a Jews. I had a religion. But, later i became atheist. And, now i am deist(believer of deism). I know little bit if Judaism. But, i want to know about starting point of Judaism. i want to know is this type of question on-topic here

Questions at all levels of background are welcome, and this community isn't only for Jews. Basic questions are fine.

I'm not sure what you mean about "starting point". The torah, specifically the five books of Moses, records some history that traditional Judaism understands to be true, so if you aren't familiar with that narrative, that's a good place to start. (See, in particular, Genesis starting with chapter 12 and most of the book of Exodus.) You might have questions about how Judaism developed from there, since today we don't do exactly what's recorded there, and you're welcome to ask those questions.
